My father is obsessed with Oshkosh overalls. It seems that anytime he visits or we visit, he asks for Mary Grace, our now two year old, to wear her overalls. Here’s some of my favorite photos with Mary Grace sporting her overalls. Most of my favorite photos are candid, and I think you’ll see this is real life and Mary Grace in her truest spirit.
One of the things we love most about the small town of Slinger is our even smaller neighborhood. There are 26 houses and 1 entry, which also serves as an exit. We are so fortunate that most of our neighbors are actually our friends. Mary Grace, our two year old, would tell you that the two ladies down the street are her grandmothers far away from home. Our other neighbor could easily be labeled as one of Mary Grace’s aunts. We have neighborhood parties. We have impromptu gatherings. It really is a unique and special place.
The Hofmans happen to be one of those families we appreciate and cherish, and I was delighted when they asked me to take their family photos.
Let’s face it: family photos are always fun. But there’s something even sweeter when you have a little girl cooing over her puppy. Charlie’s face lit up every time she saw Louie. I’m sure she loves her mommy and daddy dearly, but her puppy knew how to make her smile. I had so much fun hiking the Hofman’s favorite trails to capture their beautiful family.
I had the privilege of meeting Heidi when she was fairly early on in her pregnancy. She and I were introduced through a mutual friend, and it also happens that we both went to school in the state of Georgia and lived in the state of North Carolina. It’s always fun to meet other people who have lived in the south at some point
Heidi and Brad welcomed their beautiful son Tre Jonathan early the morning of November 6, 2017. I was fortunate enough to meet him several hours later, as I had a separate appointment at the hospital. I think the name they chose is so precious, as Tre is short for treasure and Jonathan means Jehovah has given. This little boy truly is a treasure and it was a joy taking his pictures less than two weeks after he was born. Tre, you are one lucky man and have incredible parents. I can’t wait to watch you grow up!
